About Team Williamson

Team Williamson just began their season together this year but have high hopes for the year. Our goal is to represent Team Saskatchewan at HOME in the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. We have all had very successful careers as individuals and now hope to combine our skills, abilities, and experience to win the province. We curl out of the Highland Curling Club in Regina Saskatchewan

Meet the Players
Rae Williamson

Rae is the skip of Team Williamson. She has skipped now for the last six years of her career and before that was an excellent second, learning the game as she played with different teams. Rae is 24 years old but has the expereince of someone who has been in the game for 20+ years. She grew up at the rink watching her father curl, and working in the kitchen just so she could be close to the action everyday. Rae has represented Saskatchewan before at the 2009 Optimist Under 18 International Curling Championship . She also won silver a few years later at the Saskatchewan Winter Games in 2011 which qualified her and her team for the opportunity to compete to represent Saskatchewan at the 2011 Canadian Winter Games where she thrived as skip, which they accomplished and flew to Halifax with the Green Jackets hot in their hands. In 2012 she won the High School Championship and has made all these great accomplishments as a skip. Rae lives in Regina Saskatchewan and works as a EHC/Dental Client Service Rep- Cooperators Insurance Company

Alexandra Meyer

Alexandra plays third for Team Williamson. For her junior career she skipped for ten years, then moved up to Women's and into the third position learning from some of the greatest minds in the women's game today. Alexandra started off learning in the Curl for Kids program then moved up to the Sunday League which her and her team won a few times. She went on to play in Junior Provincials for many years in a row and often made it to playoffs. Alexandra also represented the University of Regina at Canadian Interuniversity Sports Canadian Championship in St. John's Newfoundland in 2011. Once starting her career in women's she made it to her first Scotties Provincials, and then the next year made it to the semi-final unfortunately falling to third place. She has now played with her sister for the past three years.

Alexandra lives in Bienfait Saskatchewan , a small town just outside Estevan, with her husband, two children. She currently is working at the Estevan Eye Clinic, while working towards her goal of becoming Team Saskatchewan.
